Helicopter Bearpaws are an essential accessory for helicopers flying and landing in remote areas where a flat surface is not always available. The Bearpaws allows enhanced weight distribution of the helicopter providing added safety when landing on snow, spongy soils, rivers and rocks.
1. Streamlined finish
The carefully crafted Bearpaws feature a streamlined design allowing dust and gravel to flow off thus preventing small objects to strike tail rotor.
2. Reinforced Shape
The pad shape is reinforced at the rear for long term durability of landing contact point.
3. Flow Holes
Flow holes reduces suction when taking off muddy areas and also allows water release when taking off from rivers.
Iceblade technology for bearpaws provides better traction on clear ice. This reduces risks of helicopter skidding on ice. The included Iceblades also offer extra protection to pads especially for helicopters used for training.
Bearpaws are machined to perfection with UHMW Polymer. Flexibility of the material allows landing on bumpy surfaces such as rocks and sturdiness of the material makes the Bearpaws a long lasting sturdy product.
The pads profile has also been optimized through finite element analysis to obtain the best lightweight-strength ratio.
People with aircrafts registered in countries other than Canada and USA should consult their local civil aviation authorities to check if STC issued by FAA / TC can be used. For example, Australia, New Zealand and Chile can use the US (FAA) STC to install bearpaws on their Helicopter.
